Lucy-Atlanta-Host: Hi DC _ David Clayton :-) DC: Hi Lucy, Hi Rabbit Volker-Germany: how come you worked/toured again with THE WHO? Steve (Wales UK): Hi Rabbit. Am I under any "false" illusions about hearing that "Crawler" may be getting it together again? Lucy-Atlanta-Host: Has the new cd been released in the USA yet?? RABBIT: Welcome to America is my new solo album released on angel air records. You'll find it on my websites for sale now. it's an official release. The artwork was done by my cousin in florida, and the musicians are me, whitehorn, slesser, snowy white, henry spinetti on drums, kuma harad on bass, janne schaffer from sweden on guitar as well, and my mate geoff webb on guitar too. sless sings most tracks, but i do a few myself. it's cool and in a crawler style. if crawler were recording a new album, then a lot of these tracks would be on it. Bill Liska, OHIO: enters the chatroom. RABBIT: it's released all over as far as i know, and i've seen it on amazon already, and you can get it from my websites as well as angel air too. Volker-Germany: do you think the "old" Crawler" LPs could see the light of day again as CDs??? Lucy-Atlanta-Host: After hearing Welcome to America I have decieded you have a great voice Rabbit........ I didnt know you did sing..... You have a voice like Clapton RABBIT: steve, crawler are not getting back together, but we remain friends to this day, are are always in contact with each other, and if things go right, one day we will make a new album, if slesser ever wakes up. Bill Liska, OHIO: Hi Rab, and Lucy!!! and everyone else kaye-Schwenksville: what type of music would you calssify that album as rabbit?Sorry I am real new to this Volker-Germany: hi bill DC: The debut album was available in Japan for a while, on CD RABBIT: volker-the only lp that has never been on cd yet is Snake Rattle and Roll, and I wish somebody would do it. Steve (Wales UK): Thanks rabbit Sandhe in Texas: enters the chatroom. Volker-Germany: me too rabbit... RABBIT: kaye-which album? Lucy-Atlanta-Host: Hey Sandhe good to see you back in the USA RABBIT: kaye-it's funky, southern rock and roll. RABBIT: ilucy-taxi-i was on my way to heathrow to do a who tour in usa, and i wrote it in the back of the taxi on my little music computer, set to a bb king drum groove. Lucy-Atlanta-Host: Are you planning to come to the USA on tour ???? Mike - Oxford U.K.: I'm surprised it hasn't been issued together with "Crawler" on one CD as they go naturally together Bill Liska, OHIO: My favorite track on WTA is EMOTIONS---great singing and playing RABBIT: we have a brand new live crawler cd out right now with the same company, angel air, crawler live at the agora club-cleveland-1978. dave hates the cover, and it ain't brilliant, but it's probably the best we're gonna get from the art people. it's also on my site now. www.thewho-rabbit.com Bill Liska, OHIO: Rab when is the exact Release date of The new Crawler-LIVE at the Cleveland Agora? Lucy-Atlanta-Host: When are you coming to the USA with the WHO???? DC: Hahahaha I've not seen the cover yet!! RABBIT: lucy, am i supposed to put the name of who i'm talking to first? yes to coming to usa, unless it goes down the pan between now and next summer. Steve (Wales UK): It Bites! RABBIT: bill-feb 2, 2002 Lucy-Atlanta-Host: yes add the name to who you are replying to RABBIT: lucy-okay RABBIT: steve-what bites? Steve (Wales UK): The snake on the cover!!! RABBIT: steve-ask dc about that. Lucy-Atlanta-Host: Track four on your cd is which vocalist. it sounds great Steve (Wales UK): Excellent version of "Muddy Water" on there RABBIT: all-have you guys all been to my newest website yet? www.thewho-rabbit.com Dave van Staveren has done a great job on it, yeah? Bill Liska, OHIO: Hi DC how are ya' Cheers from Cleveland!!! RABBIT: lucy-what is track four dave? DC: Rabbit's CD's are available from him. All I do is review it!! Lucy-Atlanta-Host: Whats the New Live Crawler album going to be called???? RABBIT: volker-not that i know of, sorry. Bill Liska, OHIO: And a good job of reviewing too...I must say, Dave Lucy-Atlanta-Host: Whitehorn is one of the best guitarists . DC: Hahaha. thanx Bill Liska, OHIO: Geoff Whitehorn is a guitar god!!!! RABBIT: lucy-the new live crawler album is already called live at the agora club-1978 and can be found on my website now. Lucy-Atlanta-Host: cool thanks Rab Mike - Oxford U.K.: Rabbit, Muddy Water is very much a song for Piano, do you try and write material for solo Piano on other occasions Sandhe in Texas: enters the chatroom. kaye-Schwenksville: rabbit-I also would like to know if you would ever do piano aolo...I am a pianist. Lucy-Atlanta-Host: I think you should have your own tour without the who and all your material......keep it in mind kaye-Schwenksville: solo,I can't spell either Lucy-Atlanta-Host: make sure Whitehorn comes on it too alex-russia: Thanx Rabbit and good wishes to you ! I haven't seen you with WHO at MSG benefit an October, 20. Why ? RABBIT: eileen- kossoff was the most serene lovable musician i have ever worked with. a real gentleman and warm person. i had many many wonderful days and nights hanging out with him, in and out of the studio, at gigs, at his house in the mews, where i first met sandy, and we just got on so well together. i loved him very much. Steve (Wales UK): Rabbit - What's this one I got called "Snakebite" (Pilot 117) ??? Bill Liska, OHIO: Rab, definitely a solo tour would be a great event! RABBIT: hang on guys, i'm losing track. let me skip backwards a bit. DC: enters the chatroom. Lucy-Atlanta-Host: you said we were going too slow for you............now its warming up Eileen-New Jersey: I think Kossoff was the best ever, Thanks Rabbit! Lucy-Atlanta-Host: what is the song Girl or something on the new cd Lucy-Atlanta-Host: If things slow up on your pc press refresh once in a while DC: Lucy, go get the CD - stop guessing!! DC: enters the chatroom. Steve (Wales UK): LoL! RABBIT: mike-yes i always start off writing on the piano, and then let guitarists turn my chords into guitar shapes so that they are more convincing. but i am a piano player, so i usually start there. i can however play 8 chords on the guitar, so sometimes for a buzz, i will write a song on the guitar with a particular riff in mind, so when a real guitarist hears it, he can play it properly. for example, i wrote common mortal man on the guitar, cause it's full of riffs, more than piano chords. Volker-Germany: what kinda music are you into generally...any faves? Lucy-Atlanta-Host: DC I jsut heard the track on angel air but they didnt say the title, will play it here as I do have the cd Brian/Maryland: enters the chatroom. RABBIT: lucy-too scared to tour on my own. i'm a big softie, and can't handle rejection like the big boys can. Lucy-Atlanta-Host: Hallo Brian DC: lol Lucy-Atlanta-Host: Hey Rab...........never be scared. You have many fans in the USA DC: and in the UK too Brian/Maryland: Hello, Lucy and the rest of the gang. Sandhe in Texas: bring ya woolies - it is cold here too!! Bill Liska, OHIO: Lucy and Dave I second that motion! jan west mids: third it DC: Tour Dammit !!!! RABBIT: steve-that's a boot-leg from NMC records, and ain't nothing to do with me or crawler. in fact they gave my song Liar, writing credits to johnny rotten, and it's my song. they let that thing out without even asking us, or calling to get the right details etc. it's the identical gig to rennaisance's rock classics cd, bbc -rock goes to college, just re-packaged. ask dc, he knows. Lucy-Atlanta-Host: who do we have to write to - for you to tour kaye-Schwenksville: Rabbit-I'll come tour with you..then you will have nothing to fear...LOL Bill Liska, OHIO: Come back to lovely Cleveland its !5 degrees and there is 4 inches of snow on the ground! DC: Awful sleeve notes too DC: At least the Angel Air CD's have good sleeve notes Steve (Wales UK): enters the chatroom. RABBIT: volker-i like any kind of musci. i don't have favorites as such, but am prone to hillbilly, blues, classical, and heavy metal, d.c. has a great demo tape of his heavy metal shit. brilliant. I'm a musician, and that goes across the board. music is music. it's either good or bad, and that's the end of it. Steve (Wales UK): Cheers Rab Sandhe in Texas: Rabbit - you can even tie one of my cats to the piano leg if you tour :) Bill Liska, OHIO: Yeah who was the guy who wrote those notes??? RABBIT: brian-hi brian. DC: :) RABBIT: jan- howdy jan Volker-Germany: what kinda music do you listen to Rab...any faves? RABBIT: dc - sod off jan west mids: hello Brian/Maryland: "Rab", why isn't the greatest rock vocalist ever in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? What a gross injustice not having Paul Rodgers in "the Hall". Agree"Rab"? RABBIT: lucy-write to dc RABBIT: kaye- you might have a point there. Mike - Oxford U.K.: Thanks Rabbit, also from what I understand If something is written for guitar, it gets very complicated when transferred to the piano!! RABBIT: sandy-get the cats a flight case then. kaye-Schwenksville: Rabbit-I compose music on my Ensoniq Composers workstation..what do you compose on? Scotty - California: enters the chatroom. Lucy-Atlanta-Host: Hallo Scotty] Scotty - California: hi lucy and rabbit this is truley an honor RABBIT: mike-depends if the piano player understands how the guitar works, which i do. i just can't play it. one of the reason pete townshend wanted me on board was for the fact that whenever he plays, i can follow him with the same sort of shapes chordally, but on piano instead of guitar. that way when he solo's, the same basic shape of his chords are being played by me as support, only on a keyboard. i know what you mean though. a lot of keyboard players sound like keyboard players, chordally, cause they don't know how a guitar works. i do, just can't play the thing. Bill Liska, OHIO: Rab , have you talked to Geoff or Sless recently RABBIT: scotty-hi scotty Volker-Germany: ever met Ken Hensley...think he can handle both as well... Lucy-Atlanta-Host: how many dates are you doing in the UK with the who and when are they???? RABBIT: kaye- what don't i have to compose on is more the question. i get all sorts of endorsement deals going with companies, and get landed with their equipment. right now i've got kurzweil 2500, roland rd700, korg m1, dw800's, all manner of emu modules, and more. too many to list here. but the kurzweil is my staple diet to work on. fully loaded, it does just about everything. get one now. RABBIT: bill, spoke to sless and geoff within the last few weeks. they're fine and dandy mate. Sandhe in Texas: Rab - do you still have Ezra's organ RABBIT: lucy-3 warm up gigs, and 2 shows at the Albert Hall, feb 7 and 8. kaye-Schwenksville: ran=bbit-I had one,a kurzweil, got ripped off at an unplugged gig 6 months ago...By the way, I am also a Guitarist so we should tour LOL Volker-Germany: what idols in music did/do you have Rab RABBIT: warm up dates are 27, 28, and 31st, but venues are yet to be set. RABBIT: kaye-come on then kaye, let's do it now. RABBIT: sandy-who is ezra? kaye-Schwenksville: rabbit-I'm heading to the UK in August...maybe!LOL Sandhe in Texas: ezra charles - we took him the photo from your old house RABBIT: volker-idols-billy preston, jimmy smithe/organ..stevie windwood, just cause he's good at everything. and ernest tubb, hillbilly extraordinaire. Scotty - California: hello rabbit your record with rodgers, tetsu, yam, and yourself was a treasure upon release and stands up on its own today thank you so much for making that possible, and i think i left out koss, my question is on the tune wishing well .. and i have to ask this because i am a guitar player. but i greatly admire keybaords and the b-3 in particular..was that kossi playing all the fills or was it the other guitar player whos name dos'nt come to mind at this moment? phil,Kent: enters the chatroom. RABBIT: kaye- too cold here, and there's a war on/. stay put. i'll come over there. Lucy-Atlanta-Host: do you come from a music family Rab????? RABBIT: sandy-i'm confused, sorry lovely. RABBIT: phil-hi phil phil,Kent: hi rab RABBIT: lucy-everybody in my family were musicans at one time or another. dad-bass, mom-piano and cook...bill, sax....sam....drums....jim-rifle and tackle. RABBIT: scotty-snuffy walden helped out, but dc knows all about this one. snuffy came in to help us when koss was ill. thanks everybody to my mate, snuffy walden. Scotty - California: the reason i had to ask was because as you know the tune has been covered by many and the original has a feel about it that is hard to compare .. the guitar part has that kossi vibrato feel about that amazes me.. RABBIT: all-is everybody bored now? dc, where the hell are you? kaye-Schwenksville: rabbit-not bored, sorry recording some stuff for some friends....LOL RABBIT: scotty-yeah, it's koss in the main, with a little occasional lift by snuffy.it's all in dave claytons book. Scotty - California: thanks for your valuable insight to my question rab it is appreciated Sandhe in Texas: not bored - just listening :) RABBIT: kaye-okay, say hi to them all. Bill Liska, OHIO: Rab, were you involved in the Townshend tour to support the WHITE CITY cd? I think it was UK only? RABBIT: sandy-you must have good ears. i can't hear anything. i ;love you sandy. RABBIT: bill-yeah, but i don't remember it. did we tour, and if we did, then i was there. Sandhe in Texas: what with those big ears :) RABBIT: scotty-you're welcome mate. have fun RABBIT: sandy-just kidding. where's dc? kaye-Schwenksville: rabbit-do you read music well? RABBIT: dc-where are you man? Sandhe in Texas: Sandhe in Texas: I left DC in Hatfield on Friday night with DK - he was here for a while RABBIT: kaye-yes i do. it helps me tremendously when dealing with other peoples music. it's just too much to remember all the songs i have to play, so i make little notes of stuff that must be remembered, and use it on-stage a lot.# Lucy-Atlanta-Host: Kuma Harada - where is he from ???? RABBIT: sandy-he's the one that got bored. he's probably playing with his harry potter videos. Sandhe in Texas: or looking for Tacos!! Sandhe in Texas: sorry I missed you Rab - missed Sless too Lucy-Atlanta-Host: Is Janne Schaffer a well known guitarist????? Scotty - California: rabbit one more and i'll be quite.. the faces were one of my favs back in the day..tetsu went on to tour with them.. i think you may have toured with Free on a bill with them anything in particular that comes to mind on your thoughts of the faces? RABBIT: lucy-kuma is japanese, and a friend of tesu's, but lives in london, and goes back and forth from here to japan quite often. he's a fine bass player, as you can hear on Welcome to America, and i've know him since the days that i worked with Johnny Nash @i can see clearly now', back in the 70's, and kuma did some bass for us back then. he's like a japanese guru, very serene and peaceful. great guy. RABBIT: lucy-janne schaffer is a famous guitarist in sweden. he played on all the Abba hits and albums, and also has a very succesful solo career there. fine guitarist. Lucy-Atlanta-Host: Thanks for info Rab Bill Liska, OHIO: Rab, any new session work to report? Lucy-Atlanta-Host: 10 mins left XXXX RABBIT: scotty-the band i was in that was on the faces bill was the Long John Baldry band. we got sacked on the spot one gig, cause we were all so drunk and out of it, that rod stewart came on stage while we were playing, grabbed the mic off of john baldry, and yelled into it, "you're all sacked, fired, get off the stage and off my tour>" great days they were. we all just laughed and carried on drinking. RABBIT: bill-nope, none yet, but i'll speak to you tommorrow about things, right? Lucy-Atlanta-Host: did you ever come across Mike Patto in your travels>???????? jan west mids: what was working on the rocky horrow show soundtrack like Bill Liska, OHIO: most definitely Rab....as always! Sandhe in Texas: Rab - I am sure we know Mike Patto RABBIT: lucy-you quitting already? okay, i'm tired too. been out in my veg patch diggin it all day, getting ready for spring planting. home grown veggies. Sandhe in Texas: yes Lucy-Atlanta-Host: really liked Mike Scotty - California: that must have been a real classic moment in rock and roll although you must have been devistated at that time i'll bet you can get a good laugh looking back now.. thanks thats a great story Sandhe in Texas: cannot quite remember where he came into our lives though - also Ken Kensly ring a bell RABBIT: jan-rocky horror show was great to work on. I loved it, people were weird, the picture was weird, dana gillespie was weird, we were all weird at that time, so i fit in just right. meatloaf was fun and friendly, and we all just got in there and kicked some rock and roll ass. and they even gave me a credit on the film. RABBIT: sandy-yes we knew mike patto. he was on the crawler-boxer-moon tour as well. and of course we knew him in our earlt days at island, when he was with spooky tooth. Lucy-Atlanta-Host: Do you have children Rabbit?????? Sandhe in Texas: there ya go - thought it was Island RABBIT: sandy-kenhensley was that guy that was always over your place in the mews. he was always there when i came over. i wondered if he was rubbing koss up to get my job. he played with uriah heep.
